Information stored on your device

LibriKeep stores book records, custom classifications, reading status, reading journal entries, personal notes and selected cover photographs locally in the app’s storage on your device. LibriKeep does not require an account and does not upload your library or journal to the developer.

Book catalogue and cover requests

When you scan an ISBN, search for a book or refresh its details, LibriKeep sends the ISBN or search text to external catalogue services, including Google Books, Open Library and ISBNsearch.org. Search text may include a book title, author or text recognised from a photographed book. Loading an online cover also contacts the service hosting that image.

These services receive the information needed to fulfil the request, including your IP address and ordinary network request information. Their processing and retention are governed by their own policies. LibriKeep does not control those services. Your personal journal and ownership notes are not included in catalogue requests.

Camera and photographs

The app requests camera or photo access when you choose a feature that needs it. Barcode reading, text recognition and image preparation take place on your device. A cover photograph you save is stored with your local book record. Recognised book details may be used as search text as described above.

You can manage permissions in your device’s Settings.

Advertising and analytics

LibriKeep contains no advertising or third-party analytics SDKs and does not build advertising profiles or sell personal information. Apple may separately process App Store purchases and diagnostic information under its own policies and your device settings.

Purchases

Apple handles payment for the app through the App Store. The developer does not receive your payment-card details from the app.

Support communications

If you email support, the developer receives your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. This information is used to respond to your request and investigate the issue, and may be retained for follow-up and support records. Email is processed by the email service provider. Please avoid including sensitive information that is unnecessary for support. You can request deletion of support correspondence, subject to any applicable retention requirements.

Retention, deletion and backups

Local records remain until you delete them or remove the app. Deleting the app removes its local app data. Device backups may retain copies according to your Apple backup settings; manage those separately through Apple. LibriKeep does not operate its own cloud backup or synchronisation service.

The developer cannot remotely retrieve or delete your local library. You can edit or delete records within the app. Contact support with questions about information you have sent directly to the developer.

This policy may be updated as the app changes. The current policy and its revision date will be available on this page.
